PROVIDE TRUCK TO CART PILED UP REFUSE FROM KASOA – HON. JOHN EDUAH
The assembly member for Odukpong Kpehe-Zongo electoral area of the Awutu Senya East Municipality in the central Region Hon. John Eduah, has expressed worry over refuse heaped behind the walls of Odukpong Kpehe A.M.E Zion school and close to the Kasoa Old Market.
The odour emanating from the refuse deposited there over several years does not make the environment conducive for teaching and learning at the cluster of schools located in the area. Traders at the nearby market, members of the community as well as passersby, have had occasion to complain about the risk posed to their health as long as the unsightly garbage continues to pile up there and stays uncollected.
Hon. John Eduah revealed that there is not even a single refuse collecting truck dedicated to the Kasoa Municipality. This explains why there are uncollected heaps of refuse dotted around the Municipality.
He therefore appealed to the government to provide the assembly with a truck to collect the refuse to help solve sanitation issues in Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Municipality.
He also called on the Assembly to carry out expansion works around the old market area to ease the unbearable vehicular traffic caused by market activities in the area.
