Stay out of Forest Reserves; a word to the wise is enough! – Defence Minister warns illegal miners

Defence Minister, Dr. Omane Boamah has warned illegal miners to stay out of forest reserves, following a joint military and Forestry Commission operation that seized mining equipment.

Illegal mining, has become a major issue in Ghana, causing severe environmental problems and threatening the country’s ecological balance.

In a post on his Facebook page, Defence Minister Dr. Omane Boamah declared that illegal mining in forest reserves will no longer be tolerated.
