C/R: WE DON’T HAVE ACESS TO PORTABLE WATER, WE ARE SUFFERING, GOVERNMENT MUST INTERVAIN – RESIDENTS APPEAL
Residents of Breman Dawurampong, a community in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District of the Central Region, have complained of lack of access to potable water and roads in the community for a long period of time.
Access to water, especially clean water, is very limited and unsafe in Breman Dawurapong compared to other districts.
Over the decades, Ghana has made significant progress in providing basic water services nationwide. However, quality or clean water access has seen minor to moderate improvement. It is for this reason that residents of Breman Dawurampong are appealing to the Government and the District Chief Executive Hon. Lawrence Edutua – Esiaw to come and help.
According to the elders of the community, their main source of potable water is a standing tap serving over 500 people, which has not seen water flowing from through it for years.
“We are appealing for restoration of our spoiled tap and roads”, they added.
