FINE OF ECG BY THE PURC IS A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION – GHANAIANS
The Public Utility Regularly Commission (PURC) has imposed a fine of 5.8 million on Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) for failing to provide a load shedding timetable after continuous power outages between January and March 2024.
In an interview with lucky TV’s reporter Jackline Osei, some Ghanaians alloted their opinion over PURC’S decision to fine ECG.
According to them, the PURC did well by fining ECG for causing damage to Ghanaians after series of power outage.
“They made the right decision but the fine is not going to help end dumsor. The government is to implement laws that will make ECG seize the rampant power outage.
They also pleaded with government to do something about the numerous power outages as it is leading to the collapse of the already very few business in the country.
