KASOA: SON OF MP, HAWA KOOMSON GETS STABBED IN NPP,NDC CLASH

Ato Koomson, son of Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East Constituency, Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson, who doubles as the Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture, is in a critical condition and has been rushed to 37 Military Hospital after he was stabbed by some alleged NDC members.

It is reported that, both Parties form queue for its members after every day’s exercise with chairs.

Police source say,the altercation started with misunderstandings about who to sit on the chairs first.

The unfortunate incident happened in front of Awutu Senya East EC office in the ongoing voters Transfer exercise

Sources say, the confusion started around 4:00am and lasted for over 45 minutes before the victim arrived at the Registration Center around 5:00am.

In an interview with one of the NPP members King Adawu, who sustained injuries on the hand after he tried to block the Knife said, when Ato Koomsom arrived at the Scene he approached the NDC organizer to amicably settle the issue at hand, but was met with a resistance.

King Adawu said, Ato Koomson told one of the suspects to stop insulting his mother since her mother doesn’t have anything to do with the confusion.

King Adawu, revealed that, during a peaceful discussion between Ato Koomson and the NDC organizer,one of the NDC members led by one Asmah pulled out a Knife and stabbed the chest of the victim.

King Adawu said, he tried to block the knife but couldn’t which led to his injury.

King Adawu has been treated and discharged while Ato Koomson is in critical condition and has been sent to the 37 Military Hospital.
