Veteran music engineer Fred Kyei Mensah applauds charter house for their tribute to Amakye Dede at the TGMAs

Celebrated music engineer and former board member of Ghana music awards, Fred Kyei Memsah has lauded charter house for a good show and great tribute to Legendary highlife musician, Amakye Dede.

Fred Kyei Mensah praised charter house for organizing a successful event and honoring legendary highlife musician Amakye Dede with an award at the TGMAs in an interview on Lucky TV’s Adekyeɛ Mu Nsem entertainment segment show with host, Mr. Kobina Amissah, popularly known as Deedew.

He also heaped praises on the young musicians who performed various Amakye Dede songs to pay tribute to the legendary musician, the likes of Kwabena Kwabena, Akwaboah, Fameye, while Episode brought a touch of Dancehall and Eno Barony climaxing it with her usual versatility in Rap.

Talking about the TGMAs, The veteran music engineer gave his general review of the event, positives and some setbacks on the musical event as well as rating the TGMAs as a success in terms of stage setup, performances and more.

Fred Kyei Mensah further indicated that he was rooting for King Promise to win artiste of the year but as faith will have it, Stonebwoy reigned supreme on the night.

He then talked about his son Fred Kyei Mensah Junior missing out on winning an award and encouraged him to work harder. Adding that “winning an award doesn’t determine who one is”.
