According to Hon. Ofosu Asamoah, Executive Secretary of National Labour Commission (NLC), Some labour unions are abusing strike actions.
In an interview with Akua Papabi on Lucky TV’s chat with me show, the Executive Secretary of National Labour Commission talked about his educational background, political journey, time as MP for Kade to being the current Executive Secretary of NLC.
Hon. Ofosu Asamoah said that labour unions resort to strikes at any given chance as a means of seeking quick solutions to their pleas which is worrying.
He added that although strikes are effective means to make demands from appropriate organizations, he feels it has been abused by some labour unions.
The former MP for Kade constituency also delved into steps taken to get work concerns known and how those concerns are forwarded to appropriate offices to be addressed to improve conditions of work.
On the matter of his achievements during his tenure as MP for Kade constituency, Hon. Ofosu Asamoah mentioned some developmental works and his contributions to the development of Kade.
He ended by saying all workers should work according to their means and not be in competition. He added that all should work towards better working conditions and be dedicated.
