Let’s Provide young people with the skills that will make them employable – Educationist calls on Schools

An Educationalist also chief executive officer of Kersl automation limited at Spintex Road in the Greater Accra region, Mrs Hannah Korsah is calling on key stakeholders in education to show much interest in providing opportunity to the young people in the country to get access to technical and vocational training programs to enable them get opportunity in the job market after school.

She commended the current government for the effort putting up through ministry of education and Ghana education service towards TVET programs introduced in various Sec/Tech schools which she thinks will play a vital engine to the country’s industrialization agenda.

She however urged Ghana education service to allow pupils and students at basic schools get access to TVET programs from beginning to enable them get enough basic knowledge before enter into senior high school.

Mrs. Hannah Korsah was speaking as Guest speaker during Weweso @70 Excellence Awards ceremony organized by the school management and old students of Weweso M/A basic school at CCB auditorium, KNUST, Kumasi.

On her part, The Headmistress of Weweso M/A Junior High School, Mad Priscilla Akohene Mensah said that, lack of fence wall around the school gives rooms for criminals to enter into the school which always post fear and panic for the students and teachers.

She however expressed gratitude to all those who have supported the school with infrastructure and education materials.
