In Accra, he will meet with John Dramani Mahama, and in Monrovia, with Joseph Boakai, to discuss key issues like job creation, electricity access, and economic governance.
The visit will also showcase initiatives such as infrastructure, agriculture, education projects, AgriConnect, and the global energy program Mission 300, which aims to expand electricity across Africa.
In Accra, he will meet with Finance Minister, Parliament Speaker, development partners, civil society, business leaders, and think tanks, and deliver a lecture titled “Building Skills, Creating Jobs, and Empowering Africa’s Future” at the University of Ghana.
He will also visit the Ghana Accountability and Learning Outcomes Project (GALOP) and the Tema Free Zone Enclave’s solar installation, which produces 16.82 MW of solar power to support local businesses.
In Liberia, he plans to meet with the Finance Minister, Central Bank Governor, and private sector leaders to discuss education, energy, and investment priorities. He will tour the Mount Coffee Hydropower Plant, supplying 88 MW of electricity and hosting a new 20 MW solar plant.
This visit aims to enhance collaboration between the World Bank and both nations as they pursue reforms for economic growth, jobs, and better development outcomes.
