The Ashanti regional minister, Hon Simon Osei Mensah today inspects the ongoing construction of the 38 units’ quarters for health workers at Nhyiaeso in the Kumasi metropolis.
Recall that, some months ago the government demolished old buildings belongs to some staff of Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital to pave way for a new construction work to be done. This raised a lot of controversy between the government and the affected health workers for taking such decision which considered as uncalled for.
Speaking to newsmen during the inspection, the regional minister highlights the dream behind the government commitment to construction new quarters for health workers.

Mr. Peter Osei-Wusu, the Ashanti Regional Lands Officer, assured that the project would be completed by the end of May, with some facilities already nearing completion.
“Contractors have pledged to expedite their work to meet the deadline.
“I commend Asantehene for graciously returning the land without seeking compensation, he added.
