Akufo-Addo nominates Herbert Krapa as Minister of State for Energy Ministry

President Akufo-Addo has submitted a letter to Parliament nominating Herbert Krapa, the current Deputy Minister for Energy, as the Minister of State at the Energy Ministry. The letter has been forwarded to the Appointments Committee in Parliament for review.

This nomination comes after the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, officially put forward the name of the Minister for Energy and Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), as his chosen running mate for the upcoming 2024 elections.

Speaker of parliament Alban Kingsford bagbin announced the nomination on the floor of parliament.
