AWUTU SENYA EAST: MP Donates Infant Incubator, hospital beds to Mother and Child Hospital.
The member of parliament for Awutu Senya East constituency, Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson on 3rd February, 2024 donated to mother and child hospital in the Awutu Senya East municipality to mark her birthday celebration.
She donated specifically to the kids ward, Intensive care unit, labour ward among others to patient seeking medical health.
The MP who also doubles as the Minister of fisheries and Aquaculture speaking to the media on the rational behind her donation on her birthday said:” I choose to donates these items to mother and child hospital because I know the burden of the hospital as a mother, grandmother and a member of parliament of this constituency, this is why I chose not to celebrate with my family but the good people my constituent”
Meanwhile, Dr. Stanley Kwaku Yiadom, Awutu Senya East municipal director of heath at the Ghana health service speaking said: the municipal health directorate is grateful to the honorable member for her kind gesture to the hospital and it’s patient.
“we thank God for adding a year to Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson’s age and how helpful she has been to the hospital, the incubator will help us to deal with our preterm babies ”
Dr Kwaku Yiadom appealed for more as the hospital has a lot of challenges.
