BEWARE OF HATE SPEECH, FALSE NEWS – NPC TELLS MEDIA

The National Peace Council (NPC) has urged the media to avoid hate speech and the dissemination of false news must be addressed to ensure peace and harmony.

The Council said the role of journalist cannot be ignored therefore charging the media to practice responsible journalism.
The Chairman of the National Peace Council, Reverend Dr. Ernest Adu-Gyamfi, who expressed these sentiments, indicated that, misinformation has become a weapon which serve as a catalyst to fuel conflict and war.

The council urge journalist to work hard to protect the trust Ghanaians have in them.

Meanwhile the council is of the hope that the NDC will sign the 2024 peace pact
