Breast care international Launched 3 day Oncology training for nurses and physician Assistants

The Breast care international at Oduom has officially launched a 3- day Basic Oncology Training for some few selected Physician Assistants and Nurse practitioners from Atwima Kwanwoma District and Oforikrom municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The programme was held under the theme “Enhancing the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals in the field of Oncology,”
Speaking at the official launching at the premises of peace and love Hospital today, Dr Mrs Beatrice Wiafe Addai chief Executive officer of Breast care international said they decided to organize this training health professionals to have requisite knowledge on cancer disease because they have realized that a lot of patients who come from the communities from small towns are been delayed in unnecessary before gets treatment of cancer disease.

She strongly believed that, the training will help them gain requisite knowledge at their rural areas when cancer case reported to them at their health centers,
Such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, prostate cancer among others.

On his part, Hon Samuel pyne mayor of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly
Commended Breast care international for such wonderful training, He said cancer trainees to take the training serious to save lives.

On her part, the Queen mother of Ejisu, Nana Yaa Asantewaa ll and other chiefs who graced the occasion as special Guest honors also urged physicians Assistants and nurses who get the opportunity to be train on cancer diseases to demonstrate high ethical values in the performance of their duties to ensure quality healthcare delivery to the citizenry.

They urged to refrain from discrimination and show compassion, diligence, empathy and service to all.
