Destruction of Water Bodies by Galamsey Activities is the Root Cause of Untimely Death in Ghana – Nana Baffour Gyawu

Nana Baffour Gyawu, A renowned fetish priest, at Bibiani Abofremu in the Western North Region has raised concerns over the increasing rate of environmental destruction in the country, particularly through illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey. He has issued a stern warning to all Ghanaians, especially those involved in the destruction of water bodies, lands, and forests, to halt their activities or face dire consequences.
Speaking to newsmen in Bibiani Abofremu, Nana Baffour Gyawu lamented the devastation caused by galamsey operations across various parts of the country. According to him, the unchecked pollution and destruction of water bodies, deforestation, and land degradation have greatly angered the gods, leading to mysterious deaths and other calamities that have recently plagued the country.
He attributed many of the unexplained deaths to the wrath of the gods who are displeased with the widespread degradation of nature. He explained that Ghana’s water bodies, which have been the source of life for many communities, have become severely polluted due to galamsey activities, leaving the gods with no choice but to retaliate with calamities. He warned that if the trend continues, the nation would experience even more tragic consequences.
