E/R: STUDENTS, STAFF OF AKROSO SHS CRY OVER INFRASTRUCTURE DEFICIT
Students, staff and old students body of Akroso Senior High Technical School (AKROSEC) in the Asene Manso Akroso district of Eastern region have cried out to government, cooperate institutions and philanthropists to come to their aid over infrastructure deficit.
The assistant headmaster – administration; Mr. Alex Boateng Attafuah speaking to the media divulged that the school has insufficient dormitory rooms for the girls students which is one of the school’s headache.
He added that the school also has insufficient desks in their classrooms which makes studies uncomfortable for the students since two students have to share a single desk or side on dining hall benches in the classrooms.
He further added that the school needs additional bungalows to accommodate their teaching staff in order for them to live on the school campus and have proper supervision over the boarding students.
Mr. Alex Boateng Attafuah poured out this lamentations to the media when the old student’s body of Akroso Senior High Technical School organized a law abiding citizen orientation for the students which was held in the school campus.
Mr. Isaac Kojo Obeng Amunti who is the president of the old students association of Akroso Senior High Technical school also added his voice to the cry of the school and appealed to government and cooperate institutions to come to the rescue of the school in providing them with desks and other infrastructure needed to boost quality education.
Some students of Akroso Senior High Technical school also spoke to the media and lamented about the lack of school infrastructure and also showed appreciation to their old students association for their massive regular and timely intervention supports.
