Ghana at a Crossroads: PNP Leader Janet Asaana Nabla Offers a New Way Forward
Hon. Janet Asaana Nabla, Chairperson and Leader of the People’s National Party (PNP), made a passionate appearance on Lucky TV, where she shared her vision for Ghana’s future. As a former member of the People’s National Convention (PNC), she brought a unique perspective to the conversation.
Nabla discussed the issue of self-induced inflation and the need for a new approach to economic policy. She criticized the current system, where she believes the ruling parties (NPP and NDC) prioritize the interests of wealthy businessmen who sponsor their campaigns.
She emphasized the need for a price control mechanism and highlighted the struggles of ordinary Ghanaians, particularly women, who face injustice in various areas. Nabla argued that the current leadership, coming from rich families, is disconnected from the reality of poverty and cannot effectively address it.
The PNP leader called for the formation of a consumer association to negotiate prices and promote the interests of ordinary citizens. She outlined her party’s focus areas, including agricultural education, which she believes should go beyond just white-collar jobs.
Nabla also spoke about the dangers of “monecracy” in modern democracy, where money seems to hold more power than the people’s voices. She envisioned a Ghana where the PNP, upon coming to power in the 2024 elections, would help the society reconnect with its roots and values.
Finally, she expressed concern about the moral degradation affecting Ghana’s development and promised that the PNP would work to reorient the minds of Ghanaians towards a more positive and productive path.
Hon. Janet Asaana Nabla’s message is clear: Ghana needs a new direction, one that prioritizes the interests of ordinary citizens over those of the wealthy elite. With the PNP’s focus on agricultural education, consumer empowerment, and moral reorientation, Nabla offers a compelling vision for a better future.
