Ghana’s Women Football Discovery of the Year, Hellen Alormenu calls on GFA to continue giving attention to Women’s Football.
Hellen Alormenu found her God-given talent very early in life and with the support and help of her family and current club she has reached this milestone.
Getting into her background and early life Hellen told the host of On The Field sports show and viewers of Lucky TV that she was born in Accra, Ashaiman but as an Ewe she hails from Peki Dzake in the Volta Region of Ghana, she recently completed Heritage Academy, a Second Cycle Institution and turns 18 on the 21st September 2023.
Her Football career started as a child with passion and in one of her training sessions she was discovered by Essiam Socrates Football Club and was welcomed into the club after a justify, “when I joined them, the club was in division 1 but with the help of my teammates and technical team, we are now in the premier league.
She touched a little on how her parents did not really support the idea of her becoming a footballer but with time they noticed her growth and finally gave her their support.
She is the 2023 winner of the Women’s Premier League Discovery of the year Award at the recently held Ghana Football Awards.
Hellen has praised the Ghana Football Association for how far they have brought Women’s Football and in conclusion pleaded with them to keep investing in Women’s Football.
