Gyakie Calls for Affordable Data Access to Improve Accessibility

Gyakie also known as the “song bird” calls for a reduction in data prices in order to facilitate its access to Ghanaians.

The rise in data prices as well as other goods and services has reached an unusual level in Ghana’s history and this has led to frustration among internet users and Ghanaians at large.

In a post she made on her X page she wrote “make data accessible and increase users. the cheaper the data, it’s easier to recruit more users and telcos make more money no?”

Some content creators have also shared their views on this, spotlighting the shortcomings caused by the increment in data costs and its effects on their work.

In addition to this, Gyakie stated that affordable data ensures the better flow of information and allows individuals the access to the internet.
