MINISTRY FOR FOREIGN AFFAIR TO COMMISSION GHANAIAN ARTISTS TO DISPLAY THEIR WORKS AT MISSIONS ABROAD

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, has revealed plans to engage prominent Ghanaian artists to display their works at the country’s embassies and high commissions worldwide.

He made the announcement after a courtesy call by renowned visual artist and architect Sharon Dede Padi, who recently set a Guinness World Records title for creating the largest leaf print painting.

According to the Minister, the initiative is part of broader efforts to promote Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and creative prowess internationally through art and visual storytelling.

“We will commission our celebrated Ghanaian artists to exhibit their exceptional talent at our embassies and high commissions around the world,” Mr. Ablakwa said.

The initiative is expected to enhance Ghana’s cultural diplomacy by turning diplomatic missions into dynamic spaces that showcase the country’s artistic identity and creative innovation.

The announcement underscores the Ministry’s commitment to spotlighting Ghanaian talent globally and positioning the nation as a centre for creativity and excellence.
