MOBILE MONEY VENDORS LAMENT OVER INTERNET CONNECTIVITY ISSUES CAUSING THEM TO LOOSE A LOT OF BUSINESS.
Internet connectivity have been down for some days now, this have greatly affected the transaction processes of money between mobile money venders and customers.
In a Vox pop interview with some Ghanaian mobile money vendors, they disclosed their challenges in how the network challenges have affected their daily work. They said, transactions known as “cash out” cannot be carried out by customers neither can they “cash in”. They emphasized on “cash in” being a major problem.
In adding up, some of them added that the delay in transacting business has rendered their business very slow due to the fact that, customers are usually in a hurry to do their transactions and then move on to other duties, but the internet connectivity issues has made it such that they will have to wait for longer periods to get that done.
Some mobile money vendors also said that business has been very slow due to network challenges and they plead with the government to help solve the issue quickly.
