Mohammed Kudus focused on West Ham despite Premier League and Saudi interest
Ghana Blackstars and West Ham United midfielder Mohammed Kudus says he is focused on his career at East London at the moment despite rumours of interest from several clubs.
Following his first season with the Hammers in the 2023/24 campaign, Kudus has become a subject of interest from Premier League clubs and foreign clubs.
Arsenal and Liverpool have been credited with an interest in the Ghana international while Saudi Arabia’s Al Ittihad are also said to be keeping tabs on the player.
In an interview with The Athletic, the 23-year-old acknowledged the growing interest in him which he says is because of his performance.
However, he is committed to his role at West Ham.
“When you perform at those kinds of levels in a league like this, it’s normal to have rumours and hear about other clubs (being interested) but right now my focus is getting prepared for the new season and then we’ll see how everything goes.,” he said.
Kudus will play the 2024/25 season under a new manager with West Ham appointing Julen Lopetegui as the club’s new gaffer following the departure of David Moyes.
Kuds scored 18 goals and provided seven assists across 48 games in all competitions in his maiden season with the Premier League side.
