Nana Jane’s choice represent the aspirations and dreams of the female population-Mahama
The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama said choosing Nana Jane Opoku Agyeman as his running mate to assist him govern the country effectively and efficiently if they win power come December 7, 2024 represent the dreams and the aspirations of the female population of Ghana.
Speaking at the outdooring ceremony of Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as the presidential running mate for Ghana’s largest opposition party, the former president stated that, this will break the class ceiling that has held our women down .
According to him, his decision to re-select her as his running mate for the 2024 presidential election was based on the conviction that Prof Opoku Agyemang has what it takes to help assist in turning round the fortunes of the country.
He added that, his decision will generate a new hope in our daughters that the sky is the limit and also aspire to occupy high offices in the country and even beyond.
The event, which is being held at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) auditorium, is being attended by stalwarts of the party as well as grassroots members.
