New Chiefs Enstooled at Krampah Krom, Call for Unity and Improved Infrastructure

Krampah Krom, a community in the Mfantseman municipality of the Central Region, has witnessed the enstoolment of five new chiefs, marking a significant milestone in the community’s history. The newly enstooled chiefs are Nana Kwabena Ampong I (Benkumhene), Nana Adwoa Ampomaa I, Nana Kwaa Amponsah I (Omankrado), Nana Botwe I (Gyasehen), and Nana Adwoa Mintaa I.

During the grand durbar ceremony, the Chief of Krampah Krom and Nyimfahen of Nkyidom Division, Nana Krampah VII, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the need for unity, love, and understanding among community members, regardless of their political affiliations. He also urged the public to refrain from violence during and after the upcoming elections.

Nana Krampah VII took the opportunity to appeal to the Lithium Company, the municipal assembly, and the Member of Parliament to rehabilitate the community’s road network. He highlighted the challenges faced by community members due to the poor road conditions, including difficulties in accessing transportation.

In response, Mr. Mbbeah, Operations Manager for Integrated Recycling and Compost Plant Limited (IRECOP), Mankessim, subsidiaries of Jaspon Group of Companies, assured the community that the road would be constructed soon, coinciding with the upcoming commissioning of the factory. He explained that the company cannot transport their loads on the current road and therefore, the road rehabilitation is essential for their operations and the community’s benefit.
