Nsoatreman FC pulls out of the 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League over safety concerns
Nsoatreman FC withdraws from 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League citing security threats to players after incidents involving Asante Kotoko and Samatex FC.

Nsoatreman Football Club has officially announced its withdrawal from the ongoing 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League due to rising concerns over the safety and security of its players.
In a formal letter addressed to the General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and dated March 2025, the club expressed regret over its decision but emphasized that recent violent incidents had left them with no option but to exit the competition.
The club specifically cited troubling events during matches with Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Samatex FC, which they had already reported to the GFA.
According to Nsoatreman FC, the management and board of directors could no longer guarantee player safety, noting that prioritizing the well-being of players was paramount.
“In light of this, we can no longer guarantee the safety of our players. Therefore, management and board of directors are left with no choice but to prioritize the safety and security of our players by withdrawing from the League,” the letter added.
The club concluded by apologizing for any inconvenience their withdrawal might cause and thanked the GFA for its cooperation.
