POOR SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE, DEPLORABLE ROAD NETWORK AFFECT BEKAWPA COMMUNITY – ODIKRO

The Odikro of Bekawpa Community has called on the government to pay attention to the poor school infrastructure, no furniture syndrome, and deplorable road network that affect the development of the community.
Nana Kofi Appiah, Odikro of Bekawpa, said enrollment of schoolchildren in Bekawpa basic school in Akyemansa District of Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency has declined owing to the poor state of the school infrastructure.

He said the school was established 32 years ago and has not seen any improvement, except for former DCE Tom Budu, who supported the school when the NDC was in power.
He said the bad state of the school has forced parents to remove their wards from the school, which has been a serious concern to the Bekawpa community.

Odikro Kofi Appiah has appealed to the Member of Parliament, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, and DCE, Hon. Paul Asamoah, to help support the Bekawpa Community to improve drainage, the deplorable road network, and the bridge system in Bekawpa.

Mr. James Arthur, a Bekawpa citizen, has also lamented that the lack of basic amenities in the Bekawpa Community has affected development and therefore appealed for urgent attention.
