Avoid any form of cheating in examinations – Speaker Bagbin urges BECE candidates

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has cautioned all the candidates of this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to stay away form all forms of examination malpractices.

He told them that the taste of victory is sweetest and the applause loudest when they win a race fairly and squarely.

He added that their ability to assume leadership of Ghana in the future depends on how well they acquit themselves at the BECE.

So, he said, the Parliament of Ghana will continue supporting their growth and development until they take over the mantle of leadership.

A total of 603,328 candidates are expected to take part in the 2025 BECE, scheduled to run from Tuesday, June 11 to Tuesday, June 18, across the country.

The Ghana Education Service (GES), announcing the figure ahead of the nationwide exams, said the cohort comprises 297,250 males and 306,078 females from both public and private schools.
