Veteran Musician Rex Omar Criticizes Dr. Bawumia for Unfulfilled Promises and Lack of Apology

Rex Omar, a veteran highlife musician and a spokesperson to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Tourism and Creative Arts, has criticized Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), for not  rendering an apology to Ghanaians for what he illustrated as a failing the country.

Rex Omar’s critique was made during a discussion of the NPP’s  2024 manifesto launch on UTV’s United Showbiz.
Mr.Rex Omar asserted that Dr. Bawumia who is the head of the country’s Economic Management team has not proven to be trustworthy over the years.

He mentioned, “when they write convulated promises like these, how can people take them seriously? Is Bawumia going to issue diplomatic passports to creatives or dictate how other countries should accept them?

Even some of our diplomats face rejection abroad.
He also outlined some of his promises that are yet to be fulfilled.

“You promised to build ultramodern theaters in 2016 but haven’t delivered even one. There hasn’t been an apology or an explanation for this failure,” Rex Omar included.
