Asiedu Nketia Urges NDC Supporters to Remain Loyal Amid Frustration
Party chairman calls for patience over limited opportunities and contracts

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has urged party supporters to remain loyal and avoid making decisions out of frustration, particularly over unmet expectations such as the award of contracts.
Speaking during his thank-you tour in Nandom in the Upper West Region on Friday, April 24, he acknowledged concerns among party faithful who feel sidelined in the distribution of government opportunities.
However, he stressed that the limited number of contracts available cannot meet the demands of all supporters.
“If we bring all the contracts available in Ghana, it will not be able to satisfy all the contractors,” he said, calling for patience among members.
Mr Asiedu Nketia explained that sustaining the party’s hold on power remains the most reliable way to create future opportunities, noting that those who miss out today may benefit later.
He also cautioned supporters against defecting to the opposition, particularly the New Patriotic Party led by Mahamudu Bawumia, questioning whether their expectations would be met under a different administration.
His remarks come amid growing concerns within party ranks over access to government-linked opportunities, as he called for unity and continued support for the NDC.
