Ga Manye’s funeral to proceed as court-quashed injunction order
Funeral of Ga Manye Nao Dedei Omaedru III Proceeds After Injunction Quashed

The final funeral rites of the late Ga Manye Nao Dedei Omaedru III will proceed as scheduled, as an interim injunction slapped against the ceremony has been set aside.
Justice Patrick Baayeh, the High Court judge who granted the order of interim injunction, subsequently said the order was an error.
While setting aside the injunction on Thursday, October 26, following the filing of an affidavit opposing the earlier decision, Justice Baayeh said: “I am of the view that the Order of Interim Injunction granted on October 25, 2023, was made in error. The applicants failed to give the court the true state of affairs.”
“In fairness to the parties, therefore, the Order of Interim Injunction granted on October 25, 2023, is hereby set aside. Any party desirous of proceeding may come on notice to the other party for a proper evaluation of the evidence from both sides.”
Some seven interested parties had gone to court over the funeral, insisting that they had been sidelined by the Ga Traditional Council in the organization of the ceremony.
Meanwhile, NII Ayikoi Otoo member of the central planning committee said the order has been set aside and the funeral can now be done
