Let’s consume our local dishes Prof Akosa tells Ghanaians

A former Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Professor Agyeman Badu Akosa, has raised concern about the rate at which recent lifestyle and eating habits are leading to the premature deaths of a lot of the Ghanaian working class.

His comment follows the month of March being set aside to highlight the rich cultural heritage, history, and achievements of Ghana, while also promoting national unity and pride.

He has urged Ghanaians to go back to their former ways of eating local foods and vegetables to reduce the increasing number of people who get sick and are dying at an alarming rate due to high patronage of foreign delicacies.
