Organised Labour resolves to proceed with strike on October 10
Members of Organised Labour have resolved to proceed with the nationwide strike on October 10 despite being urged by President Akufo-Addo to give him more time to address their concern during a meeting on October 4.
Spokesperson of Organised Labour Joshua Ansah said in Accra on October 7 that they will not back down.
Meanwhile Government has three working days to prevent the strike.
Dr. Solomon Forkuo a member of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) expressed that he does not understand the rationale behind the industrial action, which is set to see all public sector workers, including lecturers, lay down their tools on October 10.
