SPOT LIGHT : Fufu, a Ghanaian delicacy enjoyed in many homes

Fufu is a popular Ghanaian dish that is known for it taste and nutrient. It is eaten with a variety of soups, ranging from light soup, groundnut soup, palm nut soup among others.

In a Lucky tv special feature with some Ghanaians, they shared with us, whether or not they like and eat Fufu and how they like it, those who enjoy eating fufu shared their views on the kind of soup they prefer eating it with and what time of the day they prefer to eat it. While some said they can take in fufu at anytime of the day ,others too said they take in fufu once a while.
They also made mention of the various variety or type of fufu they prefer. Which is the yam , cocoyam and the popular one known by most Ghanaians, the cassava and plantain fufu.

Quizzing them on what they get from eating fufu with their preferred soup, most of them said, it known to be one of Ghana’s heavy dishes, sustaining them for longer periods, giving them lots of energy to go about their usual business.

It is worthy of note that Fufu, is not only eating by Ghanaians, but also eaten in majority of African countries, making it one of Africa’s popular foods, exported into many foreign cultures, due to its palatable taste and attractiveness.

As we celebrate Ghana Month in the month of March, it is imperative on us that we do not only eat our local dishes, but also throw light on our various rich Ghanaian dishes for foreigners to patronize and enjoy our meals and leave to their various countries with pleasant unforgettable experiences from Ghana, living to forever tell others about them.
