Stonebwoy Supports Nsawam Prison Inmates with Donation

Artiste pledges continued outreach as foundation promotes rehabilitation and welfare

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has donated essential items to inmates at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison as part of an outreach initiative aimed at supporting their welfare and rehabilitation.

The musician, known in private life as Livingstone Etse Satekla, was accompanied by his wife, Louisa Satekla, and members of the Livingstone Foundation during the visit.

Items presented to the inmates included toiletries, bottled water, bags of rice, gari, and assorted drinks to support their daily needs.

The team was received by the Officer-in-Charge and Eastern Regional Commander of the facility, Patrick Thomas Seidu, who briefed them on the prison’s operations, inmate population, and ongoing rehabilitation programmes.

As part of the visit, Stonebwoy and his team toured various sections of the facility, where they were introduced to educational programmes, vocational training initiatives, and partnerships designed to equip inmates with skills for reintegration into society.

The artiste also engaged directly with inmates and performed briefly, creating a lively and uplifting atmosphere within the facility.

Speaking during the interaction, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to connect with the inmates, noting that the experience had given him deeper insight into life in incarceration and the importance of rehabilitation support.

He further pledged to make the outreach an annual initiative aimed at motivating and encouraging inmates.

On behalf of the Director-General of Prisons, Patrick Thomas Seidu conveyed appreciation to the artiste and his team for their contribution and encouragement to inmates.
