Asiedu Nketia Urges NDC to Prioritise Loyalty

Party chairman warns against accommodating members with shifting political allegiances

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has cautioned the party against embracing individuals he described as inconsistent in their political loyalty.

He stressed the need for the NDC to focus on building a base of committed and dedicated members to sustain its electoral success.

Speaking during his “Thank You Tour” of the Ashanti Region, Asiedu Nketia emphasised that the party does not require members who frequently switch political sides, noting that loyalty remains a critical factor in strengthening the party’s future.

He reiterated that individuals who move between parties should be avoided, as their commitment to the party’s goals may be unreliable.

Despite the caution, he expressed appreciation to party supporters and voters for their role in securing the NDC’s electoral victory, highlighting the importance of grassroots contributions.

He further encouraged members to recognise and retain hardworking executives during the ongoing branch reorganisation, stressing the importance of rewarding dedication as the party prepares for future elections.
