POLICE ARREST AHMED TWUMASI, THE POLICE OFFICER WHO ALLEDGEDLY SHOT GIRLFRIEND TO DEATH.

In the early hours of Thursday, 20th Apirl, 2023, a suburb by name Adum in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana was on fire after an alleged police officer shot his girlfriend popularly known as Maa Adwoa, to death.

Inspector Twumasi is a husband and father who lives and works in Kumasi.
He is said to have shot his late girlfriend 6 times over an alleged relationship quarrel.

A video is currently circulating on social media with a voice suspected to be that of the officer indicating how Maa Adwoa took him for granted after showering her with money and material things.

“Behave you have not seen anything, if you don’t hear from me again am dead also, she took me for granted” speaking in a hideout” speaking to the friend of the deceased.

In a latest release by the Ghana Police Service they indicated that they have arrested the police Inspector, Ahmed Twumasi. The suspect who has been on the run since the incident, was arrested at Sekyere, near Effiduase in the Ashanti Region as a result of a special police operation, which was launched following the shooting incident.

Maa Adwoa’s body, has been conveyed to the hospital for further investigations whilst the suspect is currently in police custody and will be put before court to face justice.
