On Saturday, September 31, 2023, the Member of Parliament for Mfantseman Constituency, Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford, and the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation Foundation (GNPC) handed over a 6-unit classroom block to the chiefs and people of Ankaful in the Mfantseman Constituency.
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer of the GNPC Foundation, in his speech, outlined the areas in which the foundation works. That is Education and Training, Economic Empowerment, and Environmental and Social Amenities (ESA).
He admonished the young generation to take advantage of the facilities provided to better their lot and added, “Today, even to become a seaman, teacher, doctor, MP, or chief, you need to have a better education.

On her part, Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford disclosed that “I want to put our schools in the constituency in good shape” and pleaded with the chiefs to ensure the facilities are well maintained to ensure the longevity of the schools, as well as admonished parents to ensure their children learn.
She, however, bemoaned the state of village schools when compared to city schools, challenging that some ought to be done to improve the standards of schools in villages and towns since all pupils sit for the same examinations.

The Chief of Ankaful, Nana Kwame Ntsiful V, who graced the occasion, took the opportunity to thank the MP and GNPC Foundation for their accomplishments, as well as for the great intervention of the classroom block, and pledged the maximum usage of the classroom block.
He added that they will also do the needed maintenance to extend the life span of the school building, saying
