PROF. JOSHUA ALABI WARNS; STOP PAMPERING POLITICIANS

Assin South, Central Region – Professor Joshua Alabi, Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) campaign team, has lamented that Ghanaians over-pamper politicians, leading to a lack of accountability and poor performance.

Speaking on behalf of former President John Dramani Mahama at the Etsi Bosomadwe Ahoro Festival, Prof. Alabi emphasized that citizens must take responsibility for electing leaders and demand quality performance.

Prof. Alabi stressed that politics is not a game, but about the welfare of citizens, including roads, water, shelter, and other essential amenities.

He urged Ghanaians to hold politicians accountable and demand quality work.
“If we can change them when they don’t perform, then we shall push them to do a quality job for us,” he added.

Warning of a dire future, Prof. Alabi cautioned: “If what’s happening in this country continues, by the time the youth take over, there’ll be no country to run.”

He noted that the patience and tolerance of the current youth will not be replicated by the upcoming generation. “The youth of today have been patient, but the next generation won’t tolerate this level of leadership.”
