Morocco Donates 2,000 Tonnes of Fertiliser to Boost Ghana’s Agriculture
Morocco supports Ghana’s Feed Ghana initiative with second batch of fertiliser to strengthen food security

Morocco has donated 2,000 metric tonnes of fertiliser to Ghana to support efforts aimed at boosting agricultural productivity and strengthening food security under the government’s Feed Ghana initiative.
The donation forms part of ongoing bilateral cooperation between both countries in the agriculture sector and represents the second consignment of such support.
The fertiliser was officially handed over at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Accra.
Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said the gesture reflects the strong partnership between Ghana and Morocco and comes at a critical time as government intensifies efforts to increase food production.
He noted that initiatives under President John Dramani Mahama, including irrigation projects and improved seed distribution, are aimed at enhancing agricultural output and food security.
Ghana and Morocco have in recent years strengthened cooperation across various sectors, with agriculture emerging as a key area of collaboration.
Morocco, a major global fertiliser producer with vast phosphate reserves, continues to position itself as a strategic partner for African countries seeking to improve agricultural resilience and productivity.
