2023 National Farmers’ Day Celebration to Take Place in Western Region

Launch Event Highlights Commitment to Smart Solutions for Food Security

The 39th edition of National Farmers’ Day has been launched at a short ceremony held at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Accra. The theme of the celebration is Delivering Smart Solutions for Sustainable Food Security and Resilience”. The calendar event is meant to celebrate farmers for their invaluable contribution to the development of our country.

Speaking on behalf of the sector minister, the Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture and Chairman of the Planning Committee, Hon. Yaw Frempong Addo, said this year’s Famers Day Celebration, as dictated by law, will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023, under the distinguished patronage of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo.
He added that the occasion promises to be a momentous one since there are plans to move away from business as usual, at least at the national level.

Speaking at the launching the Eastern Regional Minister Hon. Seth Kwame Acheampong lauds the successful hosting of the 38th edition and therefore hands over the baton to the Western Regional Minister Hon. Okyere Darko as they host the 39th edition of National Farmer’s Day celebration 2023.
The Honorable Okyere Darko, upon receiving the baton, assured putting proper measures in place to have a successful celebration of the 39th edition of National Farmer’s Day.

The celebration seeks to harness the power of innovation and technology to improve the organization of the national award event.
