Hon. Kojo Asemanyi Pledges to Elevate Gomoa East to Municipal Status

Former Member of Parliament and NPP parlimentary candidate for Gomoa East, Hon. Kojo Asemanyi, has vowed to upgrade the district to a municipal assembly within three months if re-elected. Asemanyi made this promise during the “Kojo Oku 4 Kojo” program, emphasizing the need for a competent MP to drive development.
Asemanyi, a member of the New Patriotic Party, previously served as MP for Gomoa East Constituency from 2017 to 2021. He lost his re-election bid to Desmond De-Graft Paitoo in 2020, cited unfinished projects, including roads, water, electricity, and school infrastructures, stalled since his tenure ended in 2020. Asemanyi criticized the current MP for inaction, saying the constituency lacks development and pledged to address these challenges and facilitate growth in the area.
The “Kojo Oku 4 Kojo” a three days program offered, Free medical screening, Street light installation, Church visits, Free NHIS registration, Subsidized birth certificates, Stakeholder engagement and Asemanyi Football Cup.
Beneficiaries of Hon. Kojo Asemanyi’s free NHIS registration, birth certificate, and medical screening program expressed heartfelt gratitude and pledged their support for his re-election.
