IT’S TOO LATE TO RESHUFFLE MINISTERS – GHANAIANS TO NANA ADDO
Some Ghanaians appeal to the government to reshuffle some ministers due to poor work. The president of Ghana promise to reshuffle after the IMF has been issued.
On the 14th of February 2024 president Nana Akuffo-Addo has undertaken the much awaited ministerial reshuffle, ten months to the end of his tenure.
Finance minister Ken Ofori Atta is one of the ministers who was sacked by the president. This has been the wish of many, including over 80 members of parliament on NPP side of the aisle.
Due to the reshuffling, some Ghanaians expressed their views in an interview with lucky news saying that the reshuffle by the president is a good thing to do, while others also says it’s too late to reshuffle ministers in this election year.
The Minority in parliament has criticised the ministerial changes made by President Akuffo-Addo, indicating that the newly appointed ministers have barely 10 months to have any meaningful impact on the Akuffo-Addo government.
They therefore described the reshuffle by the President as “dead on arrival.”
Meanwhile the majority also describe the reshuffle as good and will bring a lot of impacts
Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has since referred the president’s reshuffled list to the appointments committee of the house.
