$600M IMF LOAN WILL GO INTO ADDING VALUE TO OUR RESOURCES TO REDUCE IMPORTS IF ELECTED PRESIDENT – KOFI AKPALOO
The founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Percival Kofi Akpaloo, has outlined a number of things he will be investing the $600 million dollars loaned Ghana by the IMF if given the nod to become president.
He said “I will invest $200m into poultry farming, $200m into rice production and the rest of the first tranch of the $6000m IMF loan into production of wigs and cosmetics to create jobs for the youth.
According to him, the demand and the importation of the aforementioned products are very high in the country which must be checked as a matter of urgency.
Speaking on Lucky TV’s #AdekyeɛMuNsem Morning Show with the host, Ishmael Mubarak, ‘So me ha na so me ha” as he is popularly called, said this noble initiative will go a long way to create jobs for the youth and save the Ghana Cedi from unnecessary depreciation.
He therefore admonished Ghanaians to turn over a new leaf, stressing that, it is the major reason why we are poor as a country.
Mr. Akpaloo urged leadership to put corrective measures in place to curtail such attitude.
